The National Monuments Service's description
Quarry depicted as two detached excavated areas immediately S of the townland boundary on the 1837 ed. OSi six-inch map. On this map the quarry consisted of a small circular shaped area (approx. diam. 24m) with detached irregular-shaped excavated area (approx. dims. 25m N-S x 12m E-W) to the E. Outlined as two irregular shaped areas on the last edition of the OSi six-inch map. Depicted in a similar manner on the 1863 ed. OSi 25-inch map. Not visible on the 2013-2018 MapGenie orthoimagery of the area.
