The National Monuments Service's description
An arc of earthen bank seems to be the N and W sides of either an original subcircular or subrectangular enclosure. The bank is up to 1.7m in height at its NE side and fades out at either end. The ENE end runs into a modern field boundary. A band of intense growth c. 4.3m in width on the external and the NE uphill side of the bank could possibly indicate a silted-up fosse. The interior slopes down towards the SSE. It is located on the SSE shoulder of a WSW-ENE drumlin in an area of fair pasture.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
