The National Monuments Service's description

Situated just below the top of a low rise of ground with good views in all directions are the possible poorly preserved remains of a hut site within a small D-shaped cashel. The monument consists of a small roughly D-shaped or square-shaped chamber (int. dims. 3.4m x 3.7m) defined by a sod covered wall footings (H 0.4m; T 1.2m) which is in the centre of what appears to be a small circular cashel defined by a stonw wall the outer kerbing of which now survives as a poorly preserved earth and stone bank (H 0.2m; T 1.2m) with evidence of stone revetment on the inner and outer faces of the wall demarcated by low upright stones. The gap between the hut site and the enclosing wall of the cashel measures 2.6m wide. Overall the cashel measures 13.1m in diameter. Part of the site is covered in thorn bushes making examination of this quadrant of the site difficult. There appears to be other internal cross walls radiating off the central hut site which may be the remains of a second hut site or of a courtyard area belonging to the hut site. One of a group of 4 monuments (DG097A013/014/015-) which are located close to each other. A field wall belonging to an extensive field system is located 10m to the W of the hut site.
