The National Monuments Service's description

“Largy Fort” consists of a natural S-facing promontory roughly 54.5m N-S and 42m E-W. On the E, S and SW sides the promontory is defined by sea-cliffs decreasing in steepness to the E. On the W side a ravine formed by a stream, down-cutting sharply through the limestone bedrock, defines the edge of the site. To the N there is a curving earthen bank up to 2.8m in height which fades out towards the E. On the external side of the bank to the NW there is evidence for a stone revetment. There is a short stretch of stone along the ravine edge also. There is a .75m gap in the bank to the N which may have served as an entrance. On the exterior of the bank on the NNW side is a 10m stretch of fosse 2.55m in width. A line of stones c. 1m apart is said to have been originally present on the internal side of the bank to the N. The site is located on a gradual S facing slope in good pasture.

The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
