The National Monuments Service's description
Two former standing stones now collapsed 2.8m apart. The E stone which is irregularly shaped is 3.85m × 0.3m to 1.35m × 0.28m to .63m. The W stone is 2m × 0.77m to 1.07m × 0.2m. They are located on the top of a NNW-SSE ridge at its NNW end, in fairly good pasture land. The ridge is surrounded by rough bog-covered grazing land on the N, E and W. Fagan (Bk. 19, 28) recorded a large cairn near to these stones which had been removed by 1847.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
