The National Monuments Service's description
A sheet of rock outcrop protruding above the surface of the ground has a deep bowl (top diam. 0.3m; base diam. 0.12m; D 0.25m) carved into its surface. The bullaun stone is located in a field with the remains of a ruinous cottage a few metres to the E. On the first edition of the Ordnance Survey 6-inch map this bullaun is located in the centre of a clochan or a clustered linear settlement. This bedrock mortar or bullaun stone appears to have been associated with this clustered settlement. A bullaun stone (DG096-037) is located in a similar clustered settlement 240m to the NNW.
