The National Monuments Service's description
An oval enclosure, 24m ENE-WSW × 15.4m NNW-SSE, formerly covered by c. 1.5m of peat which is now cut away. The area is defined by a collapsed stone wall up to 4.5m wide. The site which overlooks the sea to the S is located on rushy-land with some blanket bog.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983).
