The National Monuments Service's description
Known locally as 'Roshin Children's Burial Ground', the site consists of a natural promontory on the E side of Lough Eske joined to the mainland by a narrow neck of land. There is a stone wall across the landward side of this neck. Although the promontory is roughly circular in shape there is no evidence for an enclosure. The centre of the promontory consists of a raised area which appears to be natural. The whole site is overgrown.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
