The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diam. 10.2m. A subcircular area enclosed by an earthen bank up to .62m in height and an outer fosse 1.5m in width but much silted-up. There are slight traces of an internal ditch c. 0.75m in width but as the interior is cultivated it is impossible to say if this is an original feature. There are four breaks in the bank but one in the SE, 1.75m wide, most closely resembles an entrance. A field boundary crosses the site NNWSSE. It is situated on the crest of a hill falling steeply on all but the ENE side in cultivated land.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
