The National Monuments Service's description
Mass rock situated in upland river vallley beside old road which has been incorporated into the SE facing field boundary on the N side of the mountain road. Site consists of a flat slab (L c. 0.9m; Wth 0.15m) which is resting on smaller stones beneath forming an altar which is known locally as the mass rock (pers. comm. S. O'Beirne). The mass rock is situated beside a mountain road on rising land in a mountain river valley overlooking the valley below to the SW with higher ground to the NE.
