The National Monuments Service's description

A series of low walls extend from the inner enclosure (DG089-018004-) and the more substantial of these to the west, south and east form a kind of outer enclosure defining a crescentic arc. This measures about 480m from north-west to south-east, and 120m from the south-west to the shore on the north-east. The wall defining this enclosure is mainly built of drystone rubble and shingle and is more substantial than the field-walls which abut it: it is clearly distinguishable from them. It is c. lm wide and averages 0.4m-0.6m high. It is mostly in ruins though some facing. 0.7m high, is visible along the south-east where the wall is of earth and stone construction. Six small dry-walled structures adjoin or are incorporated in this wall (DG089-018024-; DG089-018026-; DG089-018027-; DG089-018028-; DG089-018029-; DG089-018030-) and at least three others are contained within the enclosure (DG089-018025-; DG089-018026-; DG089-018030-); all are in ruins (see Walsh 1983, Fig 18, at A, B, C, D, E, F).
