The National Monuments Service's description
Internal Dimensions 61.6m N-S, 57.2m E-W. A large irregularly-shaped stone-walled enclosure which is bisected by the boundary wall between the two townlands. The wall which is now up to 1.4m high has totally collapsed and has been robbed in places to construct field boundaries and other modern features on the site. The interior consists of an undu-lating surface with several minor and some abrupt changes in level. There is a general rise towards the centre. It is situated on a shoulder on the ENE side of Glengesh Hill in barren, rocky, boggy land.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
