The National Monuments Service's description
Two sections of disused field walls to the N of Farranmacbride Court tomb (25). Wall A runs for 18m roughly NW and then turns to the W for a further 7.5m. It is discontinuous here and fades out on meet-ing a section of rock outcrop. Wall B emerges from under soft clay and continues for 39.5m in a generally NNE direction. A small section, 12.5m from the end, has a line of three set stones, possibly suggesting that it was originally formed of slab facings with a core of loose stones. Both walls are now composed of small loose stones and survive to a height of c. 0.5m. Wall A is presently c. 0.9m in width and wall B 1.15m. They are located in poor pasture on the N side of the Glencolumbkille valley. It is not possible to date them but they might well be associated with the adjacent Court-tomb.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
