The National Monuments Service's description
A trapezoidal-shaped slab .7m x .13m to .28m x .13m has been re-erected on a cairn 8.1m x 6.2m and 2m in height. A Latin cross with T-bar endings is inscribed on both sides. The site is located on a small mound of rock outcrop N of Maghera strand on generally barren land.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983).
