The National Monuments Service's description
What appears to have been a natural sea cave which was adapted to form a souterrain-like structure. It was not possible to enter it but a description made in 1957 suggests a passage of c. 20m, most which was natural, leading to a chamber 16ft × 14ft and 8ft high. The chamber and a portion of the passage were said to have been roofed with flagstones. It is situated on a S facing slope overlooking Dooey sandhills in fair pasture.
