The National Monuments Service's description
Brunicardi (1914, 195) refers to pits containing bones; shells, stone implements and a piece of pottery. There are several other reports of midden material on the island (NMI).
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
