The National Monuments Service's description
A stone, 3.4m × 0.55m × 0.35m, not now in its original position, is said to have cupmarks on the underside but this could not be verified. It was formerly situated in a ditch to the N of a nearby cashel (DG029-019001-) on high ground sloping to the SW.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983).
