The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diam. c. 26m E-W, c. 19m N-S. A cashel, oval in plan. The wall is much disturbed and survives as a band of turf-grown loose stones not more than .5m in height and generally 1.5m wide. The outer face is visible for two short stretches, one on the SW and the other just S of E. A light turf cover virtually conceals the inner face. A gap 1m wide on the SW and another 1.5m wide on the NE are probably modern. The site is at the W end of a prominent E-W running ridge. There is a shallow fall to the S, but a steep drop to the W and very steep to the NW and N. There are good views to NE and W but a steep hill ridge overlooks the site to the S. There is good grazing to the S.

The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
