The National Monuments Service's description
Kinahan (1889, 280) recorded that 'a small irregular enclosure' which produced 'various stone implements and pieces of pottery' was leveled somewhere around here.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
