The National Monuments Service's description
The 'Fort' noted on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps has been removed. It was located on a flat-topped area, ill-defined and roughly circular about 20m across, on the edge of a narrow ridge running N-S projecting into Mulroy Bay. There is good grazing on the ridge. To the E and W the ground falls sharply to wetter land.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
