The National Monuments Service's description

M. R. Colhoun recorded 'Kilpatrick field with a graveyard (DG012-014002-) nearby' here. No trace of this could be found. The site is located on rough, rocky ground overlooking the N side of Tremone Bay. According to the Donegal Survey there was 'At the W end of the raised ground is a pile of small stones/cairn/field clearance or possibly the graveyard nearby mentioned by M. Colhoun' (DAS field notes, ASI archives).

The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
