The National Monuments Service's description
Internal dimensions 27m E-W, 13m N-S A neck of land defended by sharp drops on all but its W side where there is an earthen bank 1.25m high and a fosse about 12m long and 5m wide. The fosse is rock cut, some of the stone possibly being used for the facing on the outer side of the bank.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
