The National Monuments Service's description
Described by Van Hoek as 'In the first field S of DON 32 (DG004-071) are many outcrops in heather and grass. One of these is a very large sheet just S of the wall. It slopes from 12 degrees to 16 degrees to the SSE and is engraved with at least 10 certain cupmarks and threee doubtful ones. A large cup near the upper end has faint traces of one complete ring' (Van Hoek 1987, 39-41). Revisited by Van Hoek in 1988 and described as 'Near the middle of this large sheet (which slopes at 16 degrees to the S) is avery faint set of nine roughly pocked parallel grooves, varying in length from 39 to 75cms. The grooves are of the usual type: they are not perfectly straight, and are not exactly parallel and increase gradually in width. South of the cup and one ring already noted (Van Hoek 1987, 39-41) is an extra cupmark; in addition, the cup S of that (near the turf) proved to have a worn ring-mark. There may possible be more, worn cups on this stone' (Van Hoek 1988, 47).
