The National Monuments Service's description

Indicated on the 1908 'OS 6-inch' map but not on the 1840 OS 6-inch map. On the summit of Knockroe, in rough, rocky terrain. The ruins of a rectangular dry-stone building (6.9m SE-NW; 3.6m NE-SW; max. H 1.4m; T of walls 0.7m) with an internal division and external buttresses.
