The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Approximately circular area (diam. 35.5m) enclosed by bank/wall, considerably modified. Best preserved at W, where it consists of earthen bank with drystone facing (H 1.5m; Wth 2.5m). No visible trace of fosse. Entrance not identifiable.
