The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Remains of rectangular church represented by grass-covered foundations of E and S walls, with eighteenth-century chapel attached at E. Door jamb visible at W end of S wall. Described in OS Letters (1839, 88, 90) as being 14.6m by 6.4m, with doorway with segmental arch in S wall, close to W gable. E gable lit by pair of opes with 'two curvilinearly pointed arches at top' (ogee heads) with segmental rear arch and splay. Granite ogee head incorporated in chapel dedicated in 1709. Circular granite font, with vertical sides and drainage hole.
