According to Comerford (1886, Vol II, 395) 'portions of the walls (of the church) were still standing within the memory of persons still living'. During land clearance, bones, one double-and two single-basin bullauns, circular shallow stone basin and small stone stoup or mortar were uncovered; later removed to Tullow parochial house. Site may have been enclosed by series of fosses and banks. Became parish church of Pubbledrum in medieval period.
