The National Monuments Service's description
Initially identified (in Area A) during archaeological test trenching in advance of a quarry development in 2003 (Excavation Licence No. 03E1336) (Ó Drisceoil 2006, 24-5). Full excavation took place in 2007 (Excavation Licence No. 07E0962). A figure of eight shaped corn-drying kiln (L 2.4m; Wth 0.75m-1.5m; D 0.35m) with near vertical sides and a flat base was uncovered in close proximity to a possible Neolithic structure (CW016-120007-) and Bronze Age pit burial (CW016-120008-).
