The National Monuments Service's description
Excavated in advance of construction of the N9/N10 Kilcullen-Waterford Road (Excavation Licence number E2620). A series of pits and features of varied sizes with no apparent order were excavated. Finds included prehistoric pottery, and a flint lozenge-shaped arrowhead. One feature was confirmed as a corn-drying kiln (see CW012-157----) and another as a cremation pit (CW012-158----) during post-excavation analysis. A second kiln (CW012-156----) was located c. 15m to the E. (Hackett, L. 2009, 38; Hackett L. and Hanbridge R. 2009)
