According to Lewis (1837, Vol II, 251) known as 'White Castle' and built in 1408 by Gerald, fifth Earl of Kildare. No further information. (Bradley 1989, 38). This castle is unlocated within the townlands of Ballyknockan and Leighlinbridge.
