The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Square area (c. 45m x c. 45m) now divided by field boundary. To N visible as very slightly raised area enclosed by two cropmarks at N and E and one cropmark at W; to S of field boundary, area enclosed by defaced bank with external fosse and traces of outer bank.
