The National Monuments Service's description
The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007
Marked 'Site of Rath' and depicted as large slightly oval enclosure on 1839 'OS 6-inch' map (max. diam. c. 70m). Very small portion of bank at NE is preserved in field boundary at SW; irregularity in field boundary probably reflects former presence of bank. No other visible surface traces.
