The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered in 1955. A short rectangular cist (int. dims. 0.77m x 0.47m; D 0.31m), orientated E-W, containing the crouched inhumations of two adult females and a bowl food vessel. (JRSAI 1970, 109; Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol. 1, 83-6).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
