The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Historic Monument No. HM003511, this monument was entered in the Register of Historic Monuments on the 22 December 1980. Foundations of rectangular structure (12.2m x 7.3m) visible in uncultivated area (c. 14m E-W x 8m N-S) built against slope at SE. Two crosses and holed stone stand on summit of natural mound - see CW004-012003-, CW004-012004- and CW004-012005-. See also ogham stone (CW004-011----) and holy well (CW004-010----). Associated with a graveyard (CW004-012002-).
