The National Monuments Service's description

Located in a small U-shaped bay (dims c. 90m E-W; c. 50m N-S) on the S shore of the subrectangular Garty Lough (dims c. 1.23km ENE-WSW; c. 0.5-0.95km NNW-SSE), but this feature is not depicted on any map. A small wooded island (diam. c. 10m) is visible on all the available aerial imagery from 1995 onwards. It was first reported by Anne-Karoline Distel but has not yet been visited.
