The National Monuments Service's description

Not marked on any OS ed. Located in Lough Gowna. Small, high, circular cairn of small to medium-sized stones surmounted by a tree. A few meters away to N is a second crannóg (CV030-036----) and beyond this on the shore, a lakeside rath (CV030-011----).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
