The National Monuments Service's description
Situated within the modern Church of Ireland graveyard. A weathered rectangular stone pillar (dims. c. 0.4m x c. 0.31m) decorated with interlace, the remains of three figures, and pairs of rampant winged horses. Davies (1948, 81) suggested that it was originally located at Carrickaboy Glebe church.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
