Large raised circular area (int. dims. 56m NNW-SSE; 54m ENE-WSW) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a fosse which is absent from SSE-S-NW. Break in bank at S may represent original entrance. E of this gap, bank does not rise above the internal area.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
