The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the summit of a drumlin hill. An earlier report (OPW 1977) described a raised almost circular area (int. diam. 37m) enclosed by the remains of a substantial earthen bank and a deep, wide fosse. Original entrance was not recognisable. Site has been levelled.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
