The National Monuments Service's description
Known as 'The Caldragh Field' (local information). It is believed to be the site of a burial ground predating the graveyard at Cullies, 700m to SE. Situated adjacent to a large enclosure locally known as 'Shane's Fort' (CV020-011----). No visible remains at ground level.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
