The National Monuments Service's description
Davies (ITA Survey 1942) described the site as being of log-platform type composed of horizontal beams set radially and accompanied by a small cairn presumably representing the floor of a hut.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
