The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight S-facing slope on the broad summit of Slieve Rushen, with the remnants of a small lake c. 80m to the SE. This is a D-shaped structure (int. dims 1.3m ENE-WSW; 0.7m NW-SE) but only the base of the walls (max. H 0.7m) and the edges of the mound (Wth c. 0.6m; H 0.2m) survive. It is at the NE side of a rectangular enclosure (int. dims 8.7m NE-SW: 4.5m NW-SE) defined by a few stones. Bedrock is exposed in the enclosure and the initials ‘GSK’ are incised in it at one point. The millstone quarries (CV009-026001-), with which it was probably associated, extend northwards for c. 500m.
