The National Monuments Service's description
According to Healy (1988, 199), Inane Castle was located 'on the west side of Ringarogy Island'. The site of the castle may be close to the late 18th/early 19th-century corn store (CO150-001----) and part of it may be incorporated into the quay and sea wall of the corn store (pers. comm. Connie Kelleher).
