The National Monuments Service's description
'At the south side of the townland is a children's burial ground (CO149-008---) while to the west is site of an old disused burial ground called the Bonnavaun' (O'Donoghue 1986, 18). Exact location of either site not known.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
