The National Monuments Service's description
At W side of graveyard (CO147-024001-) ruins of medieval parish church (L 18.43m, Wth 6.95m). Central portion of N wall fallen and two buttresses support outside of S wall. Door W of centre in S wall has inserted lintel head with relieving arch overhead. Window near E end S wall missing light surrounds. E window has inserted linteled light with splayed embrasure and arched, splayed head. W attic window has single ogee-headed light. Wall presses at E end of N and S walls. E gable shows line of lower and narrower gable. Cross-slab just inside door (CO147-068---). Church dedicated to St. Brendan and rectory belonged to College of Youghal. Church in repair in 1639 but vacant by 1666 and in ruins in 1700 (Brady 1863, vol. 1, 168-72).
