The National Monuments Service's description
This hut site is referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of Co. Cork - vol. 1 West' (1992, 272) under the entry (no. 2572) for an ecclesiastical enclosure (CO147-006002-). The reference to the hut site in the entry reads as follows: 'At centre, remains of hut site (CO147-006003-); roughly circular area (8m N-S; 7.4m E-W) cut into up slope on E side and raised on downslope, stone faced; arc of rough stone bank to N and S.'
