The National Monuments Service's description

Bishop Dive Downes recorded a chapel of the parish of Skibbereen which was consecrated in 1688, but which was burned down in the later troubles and repaired in 1695 (Holland 1949, 312). Holland noted that the site appears to have been replaced by a new church in 1827 (ibid.). Its precise location is not known. (Zajac et al. 1995, 90)

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
