The National Monuments Service's description

On natural knoll, in pasture. Circular raised area (26.5m N-S; 26.8m E-W) enclosed by two dump-constructed stone banks with intervening fosse. Inner bank (int. H 0.3m) badly eroded. Outer bank (H 1.45m) at lower level than inner bank. Stone slabs in fosse and atop outer bank to E. Inside inner bank to N a depression, which appears to be quarried, may be feature marked 'poulnataloon' on OS 6-inch map (1944). Interior level; truncated to SW by field fence running NW-SE. Possible souterrain (CO141-017002-) in SW quadrant.
