The National Monuments Service's description

Rectangular, gable-ended structure (int. 14m E-W; 15.2m N-S) converted from school to church in 1834 (Webster 1924, 74), now used as shed. Apse to E, porch entrance to W. Teacher's dwelling (single storey, 3-bay) to E.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
