The National Monuments Service's description
According to correspondence dating to 1939, a possible standing stone pair stood in 'Drinaglough' near Ballydehob (SMR file). As there is no townland of that name in the area, it is presumed that this is a local corruption or variant of the name Dereennaclogh, a townland to the N of Ballydehob. The sketch plan accompanying the correspondence shows two stones, aligned NE-SW, one 3 feet [0.91m] and the other 6 feet [1.83m] in height; the latter is shown as tapering from a wide base to a narrow rounded top. Both stones are represented as rectangular in plan. The correspondent also mentioned the existence of a possible stone row (CO131-067----) and a possible cairn (CO131-068----) in the area. Despite enquiries in 2005, the exact location of this possible standing stone pair is unknown.
